The following is a transcription of ministry given at Seekers’ Haven Worship Group (yourfriendinchrist.net) on October 4th, 2026. The recording of the message was done by a Friend who recently asked if he could transcribe the ministry that I gave. To do so, I thought, would be in accord with Jesus’s guidance in John 6:12 (KJV): “Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.” So, here is a transcription of the ministry given that day:
In his final prayer, Jesus spoke to the Father about those whom He had given him. He said: “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” To receive the word of truth, there must be in the human heart a great love for what is right, a deep longing even though it contradicts all that we hold valid and dear. To long for righteousness and to know intrinsically that we do not have it is the sacrifice, the cross that is required of us. God is faithful. If we value truth and righteousness more than we value our own comforts, ideas, lives, then are we prepared to be given to Christ, and no longer will we be saddled with the world’s folly. We become new creatures: knowing the Father and in unity with Christ, as he prayed that we be.
My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death; tarry ye here, and watch with me. Matthew 26:38 (KJV)
